Why Supplement?
The diet can be restrictive, and some have a difficult time getting all the nutrients they need. And some conditions require extra nutrients beyond what one can get in the diet. Given this, I recommend taking certain vitamins, or supplements for the course of the diet.
There are hundreds of supplement manufacturers to choose from, many of which use unnecessary fillers, artificial colors and other additives to which you may be sensitive. As we scrub the diet clean, I also recommend doing the same with your supplements and invest in high quality, well-absorbed, low additive and allergen-free products.
On this page, I provide general recommendations for premium quality, professional grade supplements, as well as online ordering information through a virtual dispensary that I have created with Emerson Ecologics (see below). These are general recommendations that can be applied to most people, unless you know you don't tolerate certain ingredients. If we work together individually, I will be making more individualized recommendations based on your symptoms and needs.

Professional-Grade Premium Supplements
For Women : The five I recommend for all women
Fish oil Pharmax Finest Fish oil in liquid or capsules: 1500 mg per day
Multivitamin Innate Women's One Daily (without iron if not menstruating): 1 cap per day
Calcium Douglas labs: 250 mg twice per day, morning and night.
Probiotic Pharmax High Potency: 1 cap per day: Increase to two caps daily if IBS or digestive issues present.
Vitamin D Rx Pharmacy liquid drops: 2,000 IU per day. I recommend having your blood checked for Vitamin D status. If you're deficient you'll likely need more -- seek consult from your doctor on dosages.

Meal Replacement
I will occasionally recommend high protein, powdered meal replacement formulas for nutritional support for certain clients. I recommend these for the following: For those who feel overwhelmed by the idea of preparing three meals plus two snacks per day; if you intensely dislike fruits, vegetables and other plant foods; if you have any dietary limitations that will keep you from eating many of the foods allowed on the diet; if you have severe digestive issues such as gastroparesis; or if you have difficulty preparing meals. Substituting hypoallergenic meal replacement liquid formulas for the first couple of weeks or for the duration of the diet can be helpful in getting you through it successfully.
